Local Crowdfunding Initiative to Help the Disabled and Elderly

Following our invitation to join what was the final Project Propeller event being held at Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport in June, for our remaining R.A.F World War 2 veterans, we noticed one big issue at site. None of the elderly veterans could gain access and views from the Tower Café, which lay below the 1940’s Control Tower on the 2nd Floor. Off we went, back to the ‘Flock’ to think. In August, we delivered our V.I.P Fest aimed at our Very Important Pensioners and there it hit us AGAIN! We couldn’t get some guests up into the Cafe for tea and cake whilst our event was on outdoors. Enough was enough! Company Events Manager, Michelle Taylor embarked on her own mission to find a Black Country Lift supplier who could help. Working with Airport Management we decided to ‘kick-start’ a Crowd Funding initiative, to raise the necessary funds to supply, install and service ongoing an external lift to the Tower Café, giving everyone access to enjoy this unique location in the dry and warm when required! ‘Dangerous Sheep Events Ltd are only from nearby Wombourne, so we will be working closely with the Airport to deliver a range of family based events in 2023 to help us achieve our goal. I cannot wait to see our first ‘passenger’ ‘ said Michelle Taylor. To find out more; https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/tower-cafe-disability-lift/backers#start
